Privacy Policy

We collect only what's needed to run the product:

• Account information: your name, email address, and avatar, from sign-in (email magic link or Google OAuth).
• Content you create: manuscripts, chapters, front matter, comments, and book covers you or your collaborators upload.
• Reader activity: reading progress and time spent per chapter, used to show authors aggregate engagement on their own books (e.g. "40% of readers finished chapter 3").
• Usage & performance data: basic, non-identifying page performance metrics collected via Vercel Speed Insights.

• To operate your workspace - store and sync your books, chapters, and feedback.
• To send transactional email: invitations, comment notifications, and account access.
• To show you and your collaborators reading progress and feedback on shared books.
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse (e.g. rate-limiting invite sends).

We do not sell your data, and we do not use your manuscripts to train any model.

Quire runs on a small set of infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf:

• Supabase - database, authentication, and file storage (avatars, covers).
• Resend - delivery of transactional email (invites, notifications, contact form replies).
• Vercel - application hosting and performance monitoring.

We don't share your content or personal information with anyone beyond these providers.

• You can edit your name and avatar any time from Settings.
• You can request a copy or deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us at support@quireguild.in.
• Deleting a book removes its chapters, versions, comments, and reader data permanently.

We use only the essential cookies Supabase sets to keep you signed in. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify account holders by email.
